Limit the chance of falling and other accidents

Nobody can absolutely guarantee safety when working at height. But you can influence and increase your own safety. The following tips will help you ensure safety.

Maybe it goes without saying, but never position your ladder against a smooth gutter or roofing trim. There will be insufficient grip, especially if it has rained. This also applies to you if you have to take hold of the guttering. Place your ladder against the wall and use a wall bumper. This ensures safety and stability.

Keep your body within the confines of the ladder at all times. The length of your arms is your working area, to the left and right of your body. Try not to over-stretch as this will unbalance you. Keep your hands free. Do not carry too much equipment. Use accessories that are designed to be used on ladders. There is, for example, a wall bumper with a container for your tools etc.

Lastly, and perhaps the easiest tip of all: note the position of the Altrex Red rung. This indicates your maximum working height at a glance. The ladder has been calculated to take your weight up to this point. You can rely on it 100%.
